I am so sick of writers trying to make storys.... has anybody in the pistons said he's number 4? I don't remember seeing it if so. All I see is comments that both will have chances to add to the team at some point.
Yep they do make things up.

Yep McKrapsky laid another egg this morning when he wrote that it was a mistake by AA that caused to Maxey missing that dunk..

Rookie mistake

Maxiell and Afflalo combined on one of the funniest plays of the year in the fourth quarter. Johnson started the play with a steal. While on his stomach, he rolled the ball to Afflalo, who passed up an uncontested dunk to feed Maxiell.
The guy is playing the right way by giving the ball to another player who can rouse the crowd with his dunks and for that he made a mistake?

This guy is a friggen troll.

If you read the article, it was Billups (not McCosky) who said that Afflalo made the mistake by passing to Maxiel. Billups said it in jest, giving Afflalo a hard time about how he brags about his dunking ability but turned down a chance to "show off his hops" when he had a golden opportunity.

I agree that it was a cool pass by AA to let JMax have a monster dunk.

Sorry I don't agree. Nowhere in C-Bill's quote do you see the term "rookie mistake"

That is a McKrapsky phrase

Maxiell's slam caromed off the rim about 25 feet into the air.

"You might not see a punt in the NFL with that much hang time," Saunders cracked.
When the Pistons came to the bench, the veterans all threw towels at Afflalo. Why?

"He's been talking stuff all year about how much hops (leaping ability) he's got," Billups said. "There he had a dunk and he gave it up. We still haven't seen any hops. Me and him are the same, neither of us got a dunk -- and I'm old."
Johnson runs with chance

This is exactly why rookies should never play.

Did Amir play well? The box score makes it look like he played very good. 6 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, 3 blocks, a steal, and 75% shooting in only 14 minutes is great.

You guys are on the ball this morning.

I think we need a rookies league. Where all rookies go into a rookie pool and are allocated to rookie teams.

After their rookie year, then they are drafted. This way we will eliminate rookie mistakes, because in the rookie league there will be no mistakes noted and the next year they will no longer be rookies.

You DO know they would still be rookies because it would still be their first year of NBA action, right?

Re: The Amir Johnson - Play Him or Trade Him Thread

i wish murrey could make this "rookie" mistake more often, guards have the ball and control things and to get big men involved makes the team better.

gee larry brown gave ben the ball to start the game just for that reason.

I don't follow many other teams in there local rags.... are we the norm or do we just get the luck of the idiot McCosky?
