Smile The Amir Johnson - Play Him or Trade Him Thread

I know that there are other threads on AJ, but this is what it has come down to at this point.

Play him or trade him.

It is very clear that Flipper for one can find every excuse to not play him. So trade him while he still has some value and doesn't become a malcontent.

Durmars and Flipper are on the verge of ruining this guys career.

It is now a question of mental toughness.

Does AJ have the mental toughness to put up with this BS and go on to become the player his physical talents says he can be or will be take the $9 million and hang out on YouTube?

The Pistons should do everyone a favor and play him or trade him now.

I, for instance find such thread to be a bit of premature...

trade him- remember, we could have gotten Harrington for Darko if we only had traded him soon enough. Right now, AJ has some value. If he starts complaining in public, his value is going to drop drastically.
Btw,
I can't stand Flip and his stupid attitude no longer. I've defended him long enough but now I realized he ain't worth it

Nah, you would be correct if Pistons planned to trade him, but hesitated(as was cleary case with KG).

As for public demands - well, do not take such things very seriously: AK-47 and Gasol are still there, where they have been.

I know , it won't be very popular here, but have to say it: every kind of "blackmailing" and/or policy based on public or popular demands would ruin teams pretty fast. Coaches are hired for a teamwork and they do not have to care about every whining. These are prosport teams, not %%%%ing kindergartens, dammit.

.

Re: The Amir Johnson - Play Him or Trade Him Thread

But there is a bigger problem....
As i watched The LA / Golden State game last night I couldn't help but notice the development of LA younger plays Bynum Is the same age as AJ same 3 years in the league and is giving them some very solid play (if not yet totally consistent play ) and will be a monster for them in the near feature. J Farmer/ R Turiaf also developing. Now granted LA didn't have the stock of quality veterans in front of some of there younger players but you have to develop and get value out of you younger players. With Memo we were stuck even lead to changing the rules. But we gave Darko away, gave Dalfino away, Detroit at this point is only graded from good to great. and great is making it to the finals and this group of vets won't get us there, maybe close but you need to get the hunger and killer instinct that only come by a balance of vets and blossoming potential... Max brings a lot of energy but there is still no tempo changing second unit. I'm not sure if the trade will help or hurt but hopefully we won't turn AJ ( and Stuckley ) in to our latest wasted potential.

zenmaster plays best players currently available. We have here rocksolid starting 5, lakers hasn't, therefore zenmaster has to play bench more.

Darko was youg and as you can expect, impatient. One more year and starting C would be he's.Now he is in the team, where best-case scenario will be first-round -exit.

Delfino played more minutes per game than Hayes has played so far.

Didn't you just start an Amir getting traded thread a week or two ago?

because of lack of talent and injuries LA has been playing there kid for lots of mins for 3 years now, hard to even start to compare the two situations... mind you i really think that now that aa has gained a bit of trust from flip in his pretty predicatable 2nd quarter mins.... (mind you i would like to see 2-3 more mins per half from him) that it would be nice to start putting AJ in for a few mins in the 2nd quarter with our starting PG.

I know dreams, but at this point what else do we have
