Re: Should C-Bill Start For The East in The All-Star Game?

Billups was only 6th in guard voting when the first round of returns were announced last week:

Guards: Dwyane Wade (Mia) 470,921; Jason Kidd (NJ) 343,468; Vince Carter (NJ) 277,705; Ray Allen (Bos) 270,114; Gilbert Arenas (Wash) 256,994; Chauncey Billups (Det) 125,202; Michael Redd (Mil) 101,942; Andre Iguodala (Phi) 70,476; Richard Hamilton (Det) 66,617; T.J. Ford (Tor) 58,894.

Arenas certainly won't make the team, so CB is definitely in the top 5.

This game might help him in the voting. Though I agree with what to me seems like the majority on this forum that it would be better for all of our guys to rest during the all star break, except for Herrmann who we can enter in the 3 point contest. LOL

Don't the fans pick only 2 G, 2 F, 1 C? And then the coaches choose the reserves? I'd think the coaches would pick Chauncey as a reserve at the very least. Also seeing as how they don't vote by position couldn't you end up with two point guards starting, say like Chauncey and Jason Kidd by example? Or two SFs? Just wondering if anyone knows how it all works. Also, is anyone on this forum voting every day for their Pistons or anyone else for that matter?

NO!!!!!!!!! It is the consensus of the Forum that we do not want ANY PISTONS in the All-Star Game. As the real die-hard core Piston fan base, we are fully aware of our teams inability to handle mainstream success and hype.

I think that is what I said. Resting during the all star break is the same as not being in the all star game. Majority and consensus mean the same thing in this context.

Sorry I did not footnote you, or at least include a bibliography in my post

LOL you guys! Calm down. I didn't mean to suggest that we should be voting for them or trying to get them in. It was merely a point of information: Is anyone on this forum voting regularly for the All Star Team? Because I always have wondered if anyone really votes daily for the guys they like. That's all. Geez. I agree...I don't want anyone on the Pistons to be an All-Star. It's Bad Medicine for them. (Well maybe AJ!)
