Re: Webber coming back soon, but to what team?

With Webber not being available I am still worried about Dice being fit for the playoffs. I am not sure how much he will have left in the tank defensively. If things playout the way they should, we won't face the Celtics until late May and I am wondering if Dice can handle KG, Perkins and Big Baby on worn out legs...Prince will trying to deal with Pierce and Sheed will be foul trouble

We can only hope that Flip gives AJ enough PT to be able to help in the playoffs. As the rotation shortens come post season AJ will probably be glued to the bench just because of the experience factor. Flip need's to get Samb some PT time too.

Joe may have something else going.......hopefully

When player is not able to fight for mins during a regular season( i.e. those minutes a given on him) then from da hell some forumites take that "AJ must be ready for PO-s" C'mon, forumites, such talk would be justified in a case of injured vet who is returning...

This has got to be the wierdest decision. I didn't know that fenceposts could play in the NBA. I heard a quote that Nelly said they could use him when the game slowed down---WHAT????????? When they are 40 ahead???

He'll last 2 weeks and blow a knee out and be done for the season.

Nelly also said that he only runs a 4 man fast break. A big who can rebound and be a great outlet passer can fit into the scheme.

They are not paying him much at all. And they are waiving Hudson. So, the downside is pretty limited. If he doesn't work out, they can just bench him. That is sort of why I was in favor of giving him another shot here.

I'm just glad that he's not going to Boston or Orlando.

Kevin Love next year unless he is not available when the Warriors draft.

Webber finds fun in run-and-gun

Janny Hu, Chronicle Staff Writer
Sunday, February 3, 2008

02-02) 21:13 PST -- Day One of the Chris Webber Minicamp had come to a close, and the man himself couldn't stop smiling. At long last, he had scrimmaged with both the A and B teams, worked out alongside Baron Davis and Stephen Jackson.

And when his first real session of Warriors' run-and-gun was over, Chris Webber offered a singular rhyme for how it all went.

"It's a lot of fun," he said Saturday. "I know there's more words to describe it, but it was just a lot of fun out there. They made it fun for me, and I think I made it fun for the guys.

"I felt it click with a lot of guys."

Re: Webber coming back soon, but to what team?

For some reason I don't see Webber as the prototypical run and gun player.
