| Re: Pistonsforum.com YouTube Videos Dang. I just found out something cool. Some of my YouTubes have gone up in lousy quality. But they can be played back in high quality. | Re: Pistonsforum.com YouTube Videos Apparently YouTube stores different quality levels. Higher quality, more bandwidth is consumed. Bandwidth is $$$$. Now bandwidth is always coming down in price (isn't it amazing that everything gets more expensive except computer stuff, hint: free market + productive advancements + technological advnacements) so YouTube has started migrating it's catalog to better quality in anticipation of a general roll out to higher quality vid. I was just remarking to a friend two days ago that 6 years back, I would tweak and fuss with a web page so that it was no more than 35k, or that someone on dialup could load a page in 4 seconds. Now, NO ONE optimizes for dial up. You can't use the internet on dialup. Not if you actually want to do something!
