AA has shown the same poise and in some cases more then Stuck. I wish Flip would give him some of the same opportunites without having to be forced (injury). We can use all the pieces we can find to get to the goal.

Re: Stuckey Rocks!!

Stuckey had a great game last night, and his +12 was second only to Prince. I love how he looks to attack the rim and is not afraid to take the hit, like on that drive where he went straight into Howard in the 4th.

I fully expect that AA will play if the Cavs make it to the ECF. I think at this point it's safe to say that Flip views Hayes as an offensive specialist and AA as a defensive specialist, and will conclude that we can afford to have a defensive specialist on the floor for stretches against the Cavs. I'm not sure what to think about his playing time should we face the Celtics.

Re: Stuckey Rocks!!

I think we'll see prince on the bench a bit more when billiups is back in the lineup... prince is the point forward with him out... as great as stuckey is... flip still wants him to have a qb on the floor with more experience and that isn't hamilton.... with billiups back i think aa's mins can also go up a bit... were just not going to play two rookie guards in the playoffs at the same time...

One last thing... how can an allstar team have no guards on it? The rookie allstar 1st team is all forwards and a center.... talk about dumb....

Re: Stuckey Rocks!!

For the rookie teams I believe they just vote for players regardless of position. Oh well. He'll probably be in the Rookie/Sophmore game next year!

Hopefully him vs. #29 whoever that may be. That would be neat.

Re: Stuckey Rocks!!

I really have to admit that JoeD has worked some magic in last year's draft. At first I was disappointed he didn't pick that C the Spurs took right after us, but AA and Stuckey both were excellent choices. No more euro-xperiments, keep playing proven college players. JoeD is good when it comes to drafting late and he got the most out of a worthless Darko. I wonder if anyone would trade Stuckey for Darko?

Re: Stuckey Rocks!!

Stuckey has done better offensively as the year progressed. On the other hand, AA gotta get workin on his jumper. If he can consistently hit it (around 45%?) Flip will give him more time. But that still doesn't solve the backup SF issue. AA could play it in some situations, but Pistons need someone bigger.
Now, back to the thread, and I believe this has already been brought up, does Stuckey's emergency make Chauncey expendable sometime down the road in a couple of years?

Re: Stuckey Rocks!!

I wonder if there is any discussion on the Magic forums about how good Stuckey looks and what a waste Darko and Arroyo were?

Would they have drafted Stuckey if they had that pick? Thats the question. Having a pick is fine, but turning it into something of value is totally different.

That's a good point. They did draft Reece Gaines as a PG (#15 in 2003).
