Re: Stuckey Rocks!!

Stuckey has made some shots that have really made me say "Good Googa Mooga!!!!" But after a few games I have come to discover, those are just shots in his aresenal, WOW!!
For Example, that move where he drives hard with his left and tosses up that baseline floater off the glass, where the angle is all of like 12-degrees is just awesome, yet for him, it's just one of his go-to moves.

Chauncey on Stuckey..
Quote:
“I’m so happy for Stuck. That kid is going to be a star. I’m just trying to help him get there. He can learn a lot from myself, Rip, Joe D. He’s picking up everything so fast, it’s unbelievable.”

“I haven’t been able to get this kind of rest and feel this fresh in the fourth quarter since ’04. It’s a blessing to have Stuck. Going to be a lot of great years together.”

I think the rest that C-Bill was able to get the last few games helped him get us over the hump last night despite our matador defense early on.

I don't think Mr. Big Shot would have had the extra energy if he had been playing 35 + minutes a game.

Re: Stuckey Rocks!!

It's pretty nice to have a vet who is excited about his backup vs. looking at him as a threat to playing time.

Also, notice how everytime an interviewer asks Stuckey how great it is to learn under Rip and Chauncey, Stuckey makes sure to mention that Lindsey Hunter is also a big help. He's a classy kid.

Here's a post from the Atl board to make you all feel warm and fuzzy.

I think what C-Bill said about Stuckey is consistent with C-Bill taking a lower contract amount as regards to his team orientated mindset, notwithstanding the comment by one of our contributors to this forum, that he C-Bill had no other offers or there were no other offers and that is why he took less money which I obviously don't agree with.

Re: Stuckey Rocks!!

You really have to admire the "team-first" philosophy that Joe Dumars has implanted on the franchise. If any one player thinks that he is bigger than the team, he is shipped out to another town (e.g., Chicago).

I think that there wasn't any better offers out there that because Chauncey didn't let it be known that he was looking for offers... We didn't see his agent even trying to get better offers to use against detroit to raise his price.
