| Mikael Pietrus who was born in France in 1985, and was selected in the first round by the Golden State Warriors has been languishing in the dog house of coach Don Nelson. Nelson, has not appreciated Pietrus play because apparently Mikael has not been able to blend in with the Warriors up-tempo system. Chris Mullin the Warriors General Manager has been actively shopping Pietrus and his attractive trade exemption before the deadline, and a few Bay Area, California news source have reported that apparently Mullin and Piston's GM Joe Dumars have agreed to a trade on February 15, newl acquired Piston Walter Hermann and some cash consideration or a still undisclosed player for Mikael Pietrus. Pietrus looks considerably Tayshaun Price, and can solidly back up the 2-3 position with his experience. Mikael is an incredible defender, with great athleticism and sneakiness. Like Hermann he can shoot the three as evidence with his accuary with his 3 year tenure with the Warriors. Pietrus' game will definetly flourish under the Pistons' methodical and deliberate, defensive system (just like the French National team); rather than the Warriors gung-ho style. Hermann meanwhile will like how the Warriors run their offense and finally get some minutes. Its a fair deal. Pietrus 6'7 and long wingspan and quickness will give the Pistons immediate help, especially against Pierce, Allen and Dwayne. |

| I believe his name is spelled Mickael Pietrus, with a "C" Quote:

| Its all over their sports radio KNBR68. Not on the press though, unless you subscribe to a premium account. Nice trade for the Pistons though. He is a better alternative than Artest. Plus he's got more bball IQ than Hermann. |

| Re: Mikael Pietrus of the Golden State Warriors Prince 1,487 minutes / 942 Sprocket points 6.3 per ten minutes Hayes 718 minutes / 361 Sprocket points 5.0 per ten minutes Herrmann (including Charlotte) 248 minutes / 134 Sprocket points 5.4 per ten minutes Pietrus 641 minutes / 356 Sprocket points 5.6 per ten minutes Both Herrmann and Pietrus are upgrades over Hayes right now overall. Hayes shoots slightly better than Pietrus, but is less involved in rebounding, assists, steals, blocks, etc. It seems the Pistons want a backup SF who provides scoring punch off the bench. For that, and only that, Hayes is a better choice. FGAs per ten minutes and points per ten minutes... Prince - 3.4 / 3.9 Hayes - 3.8 / 4.0 Herrmann - 3.4 / 3.5 Pietrus - 2.9 / 3.5 Still not exactly sure why I wouldn't rather have Herrmann.

| Re: Mikael Pietrus of the Golden State Warriors because Pietrus is the defensive ace Hermann is not. Because Pietrus is the next Tayshaun Price we dont have. And because Hermann has lost the confidence of Flip because he thrives in a crazy offense. |
