We've all read quotes from Flip Saunders and have been left with that confused, frustrated, and ultimately lonely feeling. Sometimes it is difficult to determine when he is being a genius or when he merely misunderstood the question. Sometimes he sends secret coded signals to BF and other times he is making a thinly disguised cry for help.
I just thought that a good thread topic would be to keep track of his quotes and put them on the cutting board for our expert analysts here to dissect.*
For example, the following quote could be interpreted on face value or it could mean much more.
Quote:

Of the top four teams in the East and the West, we are the only team playing two rookies, and we are playing two in our top eight (rotation). We're not going to shelve that. The minutes those guys are getting not only help this year, but it will help us next year, as well.

My straight talk express translation:
Quote:

Look people, I understand that I am being criticized for not developing the bench. Well, I'm doing more than our competition, so get off my back. We are going to shelve that later in the season. When I take away their playing time later this year, don't criticize me, because that development helps next year's team.
