I dunno about Denver, how competitive they'll be.

What makes it so much worse is it had a pivotal effect on like 4-6 other teams. I feel bad for Philly. Maurice Cheeks in an article was like "What can you do?, bring on the bad boys".

The only benefit we get out of this (if there is one) is that TOR matches up extremely well with ORL (and the sixers suck against them), so maybe they'll end up going 6 or 7. I've got my fingers crossed

edited b/c i'm tired and typing nonsensical LOL.

I don't think Pistons need to concern themselves with how the other teams perform or how many games they play. If Pistons play up to their potential they should be heading to a date with Boston in the finals.

Don't write off Spurs, Pistons just yet • Kahn Games - FOX Sports Blogs

While NBA big-wigs and their corporate partners froth at the mouth over a possible Lakers-Celtics meeting in the Finals for the first time 21 years, there's that other possibility they don’t want to see.
You know what I’m talking about … Spurs-Pistons.
Now, how many of us would love to see this final?

Re: Playoff Matchups?

For all the hype out West, I'm not sure there are going to be any upsets. I just don't see either Houston, Phoenix, Dallas, or Denver taking out a 1-4 seed.

In the East though I'd give the Wiz and the Raps a decent shot at taking out a higher seed.

Re: Playoff Matchups?

Greg Anthony indicated on ESPN's The Best of Mike and Mike this morning that he didn't believe any of the teams in the west could beat the Celtics or Pistons in a 7 game finals series. Wonder how many other NBA Media mouths will actually come out and agree with that statement after all the praising of the western conference 50+ win teams this year.

He also indicates that all of the playoff teams in the west with the exception of Denver could win the west but he was on the fence with the Rockets.
