I know its a bit early.... but

I'm bored today, and the board is a bit low today..... Was looking at mock drafts for this spring...

I really wonder how these sites come up with there predications, the one I looked at has us drafting a PG in round 1, and to make it worse... A PG in round 2? lol NBADraft.net | Home

This one has us atleast taking a forward, but how often does Joe go for underclassmen who come out early? 2008 NBA Mock Draft - 2008 NBA Draft - NBA Draft And isn't he a bit undersized to play PF... don't we already have Max, and undersized PF.

Ohhh another undersized young PF that is a "work in progress"
HoopsHype - NBA Draft 2008

And yet another SG.. guess we need a replacement for hunter InsideHoops.com - NBA Mock Draft

OHHH just what we need another freshman PG RealGM: Mock Draft - 2008 NBA Mock Draft, Version 4.0 (All-Star Weekend Edition)

Our Guards are set for years to come unless we move Rip (unless we melt down in the playoffs, I don't see this happening) Our small big men are set too.... Another Center and a solid 3 back up our pressing needs.

Re: I know its a bit early.... but

At this stage in the game, they're just ranking players...not matching them up to teams. We'll see more reasonable mocks early May.

Re: I know its a bit early.... but

A solid back up at the 3 is our most urgent need ( unless Arvis has a breakout moment in the play offs alaTay)

It would be interesting to look for the next Maxiell. A tough player with athleticism and heart. Just to identify who that may be in this draft, and maybe someone to follow.

Do we have any other picks this year, or just our own two?

agreed.... as long as its not at the pf position... lol

a sf that fit that mold would be the dream... i am thinking with the way the kids are coming on a total defensive minded sf would fit in with the zoo crew just perfect. somebody that could run with aj and finish on the break but wouldn't need plays run for him.

Why not 5 or 6 if we are going in that direction.

Re: I know its a bit early.... but

Yea, I thought about this too, I was looking at a couple of prospects, maybe a Donte Greene would be good. He's young, so we can bring him along slowly, hes really long which is good for a Tay sub. I think he can become what we're looking for not only in a Tay sub but maybe a Tay successor.

Also, if things don't go well in the post season we could go after Detroiter SG Chris Douglas Roberts, while looking to move Rip...
