I knew Philly would win some games. They were one of the hottest teams after the All Star Break. My gut feeling before the series was Pistons in 6, but I made the homer choice of Pistons in 5.

The Pistons have not stepped on the opponent's throat even before Flip was here. The only series that the Pistons took it to the opponent 24/7 was LA.

2004: Lose at home to Milwaukee in Game 2, Lose 3 in a row to NJ in Conf Semis, Pistons drop Game 4 to Indiana at home after being up 2-1.
Very true. Everyone forgets that. Only seem to remember the Laker series in the Finals from that year.

As in, they only win if they match the Sixers level of intensity for 48 minutes. Not very positive.

2) Being challenged now may thoughen up the team and get them ready for the rest of the playoffs. Similiar to the 7 game NJ 2nd round series in 04 where it was clear sailing after that.
May not get to the next series if they continue what they're doing.

3) Dyess being out for game 4 will give Amir a chance to show what he has. Maybe Amir will be the difference for the rest of the playoffs. We all know he has talent.
Agree on this, but it took an injury to do it. My heart kind of jumped for joy when I heard Dice might miss game 4. Am I bad person?
Sorry to be all negative on your 'positive' thread Max. haha.

Should it end in disaster, Slippy will have extra time (& material) to use for his next edition of PF.com-ix

Too funny. I'd forgotten about those.

Yeah, we are going to need something lighthearted around here if Detroit loses this series.

Detroit is a fairly notorious coaching graveyard.

One positive from this series. The games are all on early.

Lucic cut his hand in a fight with Michael Komisarek. "I'll be fine," he said. "(X-rays are) negative, but there's so many broken bones in there from before you can't really tell."
