Seemed to have changed AFTER the half time speech. Flip may or may not be a good coach but its not coaching that makes you take a 30 foot air-ball shot, its not coaching that leaves NO ONE under the boards.

They are complacent and don't show energy or care. If they make it out of this one they will get chewed up by Orlando and if not them then Boston will embarass them.
An insightful first post. Welcome.

Yea right...just like the most recent flop (this is not a flip) from Stuckey.

I have nothing against Stuckey, but he can not handle the pressure. This is not too say he won't in the future, but he is a rookie...just like Amur, who has bigger problems because there is less room around the paint where defense is king. He is still a yeoman.

Not wanting to leave a bitter taste to the all-world Stuckey fan groupies, he does make an impact around the defensive basket. Or is it merely a mirage that highlights the lack of quickness and aggressiveness on both ends of the court?

Is there anyone more soporific than Mo Cheeks? It makes Flip's twitches an 8 on the Richter scale.

Sheed loves everyone. He would like you too.

He doesn't seem to like Flip

Also on TNT, it was basically implied that Tay/Linds gave the 1/2 speech so i wouldn't be so quick to attribute to Flip's "motivational" skills. Somehow "are you guys having fun?" doesn't really sound like somthing that inspires.

And from the trend in articles it looks like Joe D's going to be smart enough to cut the weakest link.

You bring up some very good points.

However, it is Flip that allows this foolishness to happen over, and over, and over again, without anyone being held accountable for it.

I don`t know who but Flip is responsible for accepting and refusing to address these issues.

Re: Is it me, or is Mo Cheeks outcoaching Flip?

Is it Flip or Chauncey and Rip who tell the two players since this is the playoffs, drive in and pass up good looks even though they are poor penetrators? And keep doing it even after you get blocked or throw the ball away or throw up a wild shot or get stripped.

We were not losing because the players didn't care or that we didn't play defense. We were losing because we ignored what the Philly defense was giving us. It is hard to play defense after our point guard drives in and gets nothing time and time again and they are off to the races.

Was it Flip or the players who told Sheed to stay on the block after a poor game 3 and the Philly adjustments?

Who told Sheed to go outside in the second half? How did the players finally figure out that the floor was open for the jump shot while the lane was packed in with Dalembert waiting?

I don't know.

I think it was this forum who told him to stay on the blocks.

Good thing he didn't listen. It was the high pick-and-pop that won the Pistons the game.
