If your mindset is pulling guys to avoid a 2-minute span in which a 0.001% chance of an ankle sprain may occur, you are never going to win a championship.

Thank god we have Arnie to get them ready in 2 days.... If you play in fear of injuries you have already lost.

fans can afford panicking between games, etc, but from player perspective is the best to forget this bad performance and move on. When player stops believing in himself then is better not to play.

Having the mindset of leaving your starters in with a 24 point lead doesn`t increase your chances of winning a ship either!!

Like I said earlier, I wonder if you would feel that way if an injury would have occured.

Answer this, with a 24 point lead, why have your starters in the game anyway?? Especially in the playoffs, the 1st round at that?

I don`t think pulling your starters with a 24 point lead is fear. To me it`s being careful and proactive.

It`s a 24 point lead.............LOL

Re: Is it me, or is Mo Cheeks outcoaching Flip?

Leaning on the Zoo Crew for a full 15 minutes of garbage time seems like quite a lot to me in the playoffs, even with a huge lead. Rip and Sheed did sit for the entire 4th quarter, I believe. I would agree that Tay and CB probably could have come out a few minutes earlier than they did, but I don't think it's all that bad to have one or two starters still out there for a while in the 4th quarter in that situation.

I am not saying that the bench should have been in the game the entire 4th quarter, I am refering too the third quarter. There was a little under 3 minutes to go in the quarter I believe, Flip and Mo Cheeks put in subs during a timeout. The Pistons had just went on a run and the lead was up to at least 23,24 points. It would have been nice to pull Tay and CB at that point to at least get a few minutes.

I just didn`t see any need for them to finish out the third Q.

Oh, you just meant that specific stretch. I remember CB sitting for a few minutes at the beginning of the 4th; was he out there at the end of the 3rd too?

Was it a 24 point lead? I thought it was fluctuating between 17-21 in the final 2-9 mins.
