Do have a few things going for us that we did not have last season. Maxiel has gotten a lot better, Stucky, Ratliff, Afflalo, Amir, Hayes. Pistons are a better team than last season.
Only worthy benchplayers were Dice and Delfino - and even they underperformed in PO-s. Rest of bench was worse than hayes.

A 7 game series might screw the Ps heads on straight and get them ready for Celts or Cavs.
They like it rough.

Webber vs Maxiel (this year)? I take Maxiel.

Dyess - same

Stucky vs Flip Murry - I take Stucky

Afflalo vs Hunter - Afflalo

Theo/Amir vs Mohamed - Theo/Amir

Hayes/Herman vs Delfino - Delfino - this is the only category where we were better at last year.

Re: It`s round 2, is the swagger back?

I liked none of the choices. I don't believe the lack of focus thing. The Pistons came out in game one of the Philly series playing quite well. Its after the bench got in, guys like Hunter and Hayes, that things went bad.

By the end of the series, we find Hunter not playing, Hayes not playing, and instead, one of our best perimeter players (if not the best) is getting some time. We are putting a better rotation out there. Oh, and Maxiell starting now makes it a far better rotation indeed. We will win by playing the right players.

The other loss to Philly, just to complete the thought, saw us even after the first quarter, 20-20. No real problem there as far as focus for our starters. Note, this game we just won against Orlando, we were also tied after one quarter. There just is nothing at all to our starters losing focus, but yet eveything pointing to the wrong bench players coming in and adding no energy.

It would appear that Flip's secret weapon for the post season is PF.com. He has been writing down all our good ideas and has decided to spring them on unsuspecting opponents in the playoffs.

We have become the virtual coach of the Pistons with our collective intelligence.

I think what has happened is the Pistons have finally adopted the tough, hard nosed attitude of Coach Flip Saunders.

And Maxiell in the starting lineup doesn't hury either.

I agree Tay.

I'm expecting a nice thank-you email from Flip for my idea of dressing and using Walt Herrmann against TurkeyGlue.

ummmmm, Flip? ...I'm waiting.

He is good at magic tricks, so maybe they adopted that part of his personality. Flip will pull a quarter our of Van Jeremy's ear and then the players will make the Magic disappear.
