Here is how I see it. We are going to live and die by the starters, thats the bottom line. Now with how close some playoff games areI can see how using Afflalo over Hayes or Amir over playing Dyess 40 mins can make the difference in a playoff game that could get us a win. With that said if the starters have a sub par game or don't execute down the stretch then the bench would never be in the position to make much of a difference at all.

Also, this 3-man rotation up front has never worked in the later rounds of the post-season. Seems like someone always gets into foul trouble or something else happends and we come up short. At least we have Ratliff this year. But this practice of prefering Hermann over Amir at PF seems insane to me. I thought we already went through that in the reg season.

Max, could you state that first sentence as an opinion. Like choose one of the following: We should live or die by the startes. Saunders is going to let us live or die by the starters.

Why do I ask? Stating what you think is going to happen is not quite as interesting to me as what you think should happen.

Ponder this too, if Tay can't contain LeBron James, or Paul Pierce, in this next round, do we just lose? Or do we try to see if Amir or Afflalo could help?

You do have a good point about our three man rotation up front for our bigs. It never has worked. Probably never will. And why would someone think if Dyess, Ben, and Sheed were not enough that Dyess, Maxiell, and Sheed would be. As far as Theo, do you, or anyone out there, really want to hang our hopes on a guy who has been out most of the last two years injured? If we are going to roll the dice like that, why not roll with a guy supposedly who will be the future of our team, Amir Johnson.

Putting Here is how I see it before the sentence states that it is my opinion.

Help is the appropriate word. To me how the guy who plays 80% of the game is far more important that the guy who plays 20%

I would like to think that Amir will get a chance. Especially if ratliff is not getting it done. In that case no way would I ever think it was a good idea to use Herman over Amir in any way shape or form

What if Flip continues to not use that help, and win??

Should I say continue to win........

What I'd like to know is when does the line in the sand get drawn by all the folks that say amir has to play?

First it was we couldn't beat miami in a series... or a 1st round.... or a 2nd round.... now its the ECF's..... then it would be the finals....

Atleast wish the folks would decide what dooms day saying there going to stick too.... keep changing it to fit your needs and sooner or later your sure to be right.

You did answer my question, thanks. I strongly disagree, and feel the bench is very important. That 20% as you call it is plenty important. You play the wrong guys, and you will lose the series.

I highly doubt that will happen. But hey, how about an opinion. Do you feel it is better if Flip does play Amir and Afflalo significant minutes, or do you just not care. So far, I see absolutely no opinion from you on the subject. You kind of say they could help, but then you also say we pretty much don't need them. Which is it, they can help, or they can't, as the team is all set without them. Pick one.

Well, we didn`t get swept or eliminated in the first round. Guees that didn`t shake your confidence.

The team is winning, whatever they are doing now I say continue to do it. It amazes me no end when the team is winning and some people still find fault and complain. I am not saying there is no such thing as constructive criticisim, however, if one complains because their favorite player(s) are not getting any PT is ludicrous.

So, to answer your qustion my opinion is to continue to win, regardless of how they win and right now they are winning without any significant PT from your boys. I guess that means limited PT from them.

Your opinion seems to be, yeah we won, but so what, we could have won better if Amir would have played and AA would have played!

HUH????

Like I said in an earlier post, look for the two of them to see no more than a few minutes here and there unless there is an injury.

Thats a lot of words for just saying you have no real opinion on the subject. I am still looking for a statement from you as to whether we can continue to win without using Afflalo or Amir. I say no. What is it for you, yes, or no.

Lee, so nice to see you busy making friends and spreading the love on a Sunday morning!

I have to say yes. Yes, Saunders is a wonderful coach, and Yes we can win without Amir and Afflalo.
