Don't get me wrong I love his game and in short spurts he'll remain a great bench player who gets put in postitions to excell.... just not sold on him as a full time starter unless he has another level we havn't seen yet. |
You may be right, being an undersized energy type player, 20ish minutes a game may be his ideal spot. The diminishing returns could just be a conditioning issue as well. He hasn't logged a ton of minutes the past 3 seasons, averaging 6.0, 14.1 and 21.5 minutes a game.
I'd be happy with Dice and J-Max each in the 20-25 minute range and giving AJ the difference. I do prefer Dice off the bench though. I think it helps J-Max, as he's in with the starters and can fit in a bit better, IMO. It allows him to be the energy guy rather than being more of a go-to guy. Plus, Dice off the bench is a nice scoring option with the 2nd unit.
