I hope your right... but Ben had a motor that never stopped... i'm afraid max doesn't have the Rodman/Ben type energy that never seemed to be tapped...

I don't believe he does.

HoopsHype - NBA Salaries - Detroit Pistons

It appears that besides making a mid-level run at the likes of Maggette or Pietrus Joe is pretty tied up cashwise.

I think Amir will see "real" minutes regardless of what happens with Max and McDyess. Just like Max did last year.

Yes he did. That's why the fields are blank.

Sometimes when a guy gets an extension Hoopshype just leaves it blank, probably because they don't know the particulars of the new contract.

I admit that I don't follow all of the cap stuff as close as some other people in here but I thought that I read somewhere that out of all of the "contending" teams, the Pistons were one of the teams that had the most room to work with. I also remember reading that a lot of this summers' free agent class is going to settle for what they can get due to the fact that so many teams are over-extended cap wise.

Is it true that it's sort of a buyers market this summer?

Yes and no, for the reason you just mentioned. There's not much a team can do when it's over the cap, and that's practically everybody including us. You may see a lot of sign-and-trade scenarios, but even that isn't going to help a team trying to get/stay under the cap.
