Been thinking the same thing. We could perhaps package several picks over the next two years to give ourselves a shot at a higher pick in a future draft.

Although we still could come up with a gem at 29 this year, it's unlikey. You've got Rose and Beasley as the cream, then there's about six more quality players.

Then after about pick 8 in the first round until about pick 8 in the second round, you've got a large group of players that are at about the same "crap-shoot" level. You've really got to do your homework this year to make the right pick out of this group.

Our best bet for finding a capable back up 3 will probably come from the free agent pool. You're right, we don't need to complicate Flip's life by giving him more young guys that aren't ready to play.

Re: Pistons Future

The kind of guys that you can get 15 to 60 in the draft need to be developed. You can definitely find good players, but it is unlikely that we will get anyone better than Afflalo and Amir, and they can't even get PT. So, why bother with more? Defer these assets into the future incase we need to rebuild.

Haha, no. I just think that there are those who THINK he sucks less than those mentioned. Naz and Murray have no groupies. Sad day.

Yeah, I'm really surprised that their Moms didn't even create accounts here to hype them up. No family support, no fan support. And they had Flip's unconditional love at one point before falling out of favor. That is really low.

Re: Pistons Future

If I was starting a new team today, I would choose Nazr and Murray as my corner pieces and then begin adding complimentary role guys that would benefit from these two All-Star franchise players' skills.

That's a rock solid foundation.

Pepe Sanchez in his heyday would be on that list too.

Re: Pistons Future

People in the forum think pistons can try to win chanpionship next year, is very difficult, young bulls with david ster gift, orlando, wizards or sixers are ascendent teams who emerged against cavs, detroit or celtics dominium. I´m surprised if we don´t begin rebuild project next season.
Sheed and Dyess are one year veteran,34 o 35 years? We will beat lakers next year?
We can trade two valerous players to nba title assault,Chauncey or Rip,veteran players with high contract,we can trade him for god pick or big god young players(la marcus aldridge? i think is very dificult but we must try to do it).
We have quality god players to begin a project(Tayshaun,Rodney,Maxi and god second unit players as AA or Amir,¿Samb?),Sheed have one year to lead this new project, and sign minimal contract after.
If young players have minutes,we don´t have too much victorys of 40 or less.
In february limit trade,we could trade one of our veteran elite play off player for a nba 2009 contender for picks or young player of a third team, like seattle in the cavs trade this year.

Is my point of view,a rebuild project when we won this tittle

What coul be the best coach for the future pistons?

Sorry for my english.
