Flip Saunders worked his magic again last night

Man, what a beautifully coached game last night by Saunders, Porter, Cowens, and Curry. They had the team prepared to win a playoff game in Boston, something no other team has done.

Great rotations, defensive schemes, subtle adjustments on offense, in-bounds plays, good use of timeouts, etc., etc.....just a thing of beauty. Congrats Flip on a job well done!!

Re: Flip Saunders worked his magic again last night

isn't this against the rules? i didn't think we were allowed to say good job to flip, i'm sure it was in the waiver I had to sign.... i'm sure of it....

but i do agree, we did a great job all around last night.... and it takes players buying into the coach's comment for good coaching to happen, and it seems there all on the same page this year... the coaching coaching... and the players playing.

Bill is just trolling.....

Flip managed to not screw it up last night, and the one playcall was so Larry Brown-esque, I think The Low swallowed his whistle.

The ridiculously awesome one with Rip running under the basket (fast as he possibly could too), catching a pass behind a screen from Chauncey, and then a pass to Sheed for a wide open baseline shot?

That play was %%%%ing beautiful.

I'm willing to give him a passing grade on this one.

Let's face it, if he gets the win, he's uncriticizable.

I don't even want to deal in negativity today, but you're right. He at least didn't take things off the table last night.

Flip is such a non-presence on the sideline. It kills me that he doesn't take tech's for the team when they're getting boned over. You can see Curry going off over there while Flip has some Gee whiz that is a bad call I better adjust my tie face going.

I thought DET got some better whisltes after Sheed's T. The papers are saying Sheed gets suspended after his 7th T. I thought you got suspened on your 8th. 16 is the reg season limit but you sit when you get 17. Am I wrong?

Re: Flip Saunders worked his magic again last night

Anyone ever see the Chris Rock skit about folks taking credit for stuff that they're SUPPOSED to do?

"...I take CARE of MY kids!"

"...I pay MY taxes!"

- That's kinda how I view the game that Flip coached last night. I got pretty excited when Chauncey got a LAY UP out of a time-out play!
...then I remembered that We used to get those looks out of time-outs 3 or 4 times a game under 'what's his name' (LB).

Flip coached a decent game last night.
He's SUPPOSED to coach a decent game though!

This link says you get suspended in the playoffs starting with your 7th playoff tech (regular season techs don't carry over to the playoffs).
