The Detroit pistons drive me crazy?

Tonights game is a perfect example. You either start or end a quarter on a run but you never start AND end a quarter with 100% effort.

WHY?

I had such high hopes for this game when you played well the first two quarters but this third quarter so far is like a different team.

That's where your problem lies. You get high hopes for this team. They will continue to fail until they change their approach. Which they apparently refuse to do because they have made 6 straight trips to the conference finals. Which by all accounts is just as good as a title. So, at least you're left with false hopes every year which is a good thing if you're into false hope.

Re: The Detroit pistons drive me crazy?

Just from watching this series I totally get what you mean.

I can handle losing but the lack of effort of this team unless they are behind the 8 ball drives me insane.

It starts w/ CB. His lack of ball movement excludes his team mates out of the offensive flow and allows defenses to set. He needs a strong coach to rein him in as his tendency is to dribble and shoot.

Welcome to the life of a Pistons fan. That is it in a nut shell. I can handle loosing, but what I can't handle is losing due to lack of energy/desire/effort.

It was a winnable game, on the road no less. Foul calls totally took our aggressiveness away. I dont see what all the fuss is about. This will go down to game 7. There will be another chance in Boston. Nothing to get worked up about.

Pretty much. I look forward to our next 44-22 rebounding game. We ignore fundamentals. It's the little things that make the difference in games.

Also anakin's point is spot on. That was most people's biggest fear when LB left. And unfortunately Chauncey hasn't really been the same when it counts irregardless of injury.

I'm not getting enamored with a comeback in a game they should have won.

Re: The Detroit pistons drive me crazy?

This would drive me insane if I watched it say in and day out. I have never seen a team just stop giving an effort in the middle of a game.

This game was a Pistons win. Well it should have been.

There is no justification in Kendrick Perkins having the game he had. Perkins is useless 99.9 % of the time.

Karma, get out while you still can! It's too late for the rest of us, but please, save yourself!!!! You don't have to put yourself through this!

Re: The Detroit pistons drive me crazy?

1-4 for this series was my estimation and I would like to call 2-3 an overachieve with Flip at the helm.
