Michael Curry Will Be The Next Pistons Coach

Wake up Pistons fans and Good Morning.

Within the next week or so, I fully expect Joe Dumars to announce that Curry is the next coach of the pistons.

Forget the expereince factor, throw it out the window. Curry has been groomed, wined and dined to take over the pistons at the first available opportunity.

Well that opportunity has arrived.

Curry was denied permission to speak with other teams regarding their head coach positions. This is a key indicator that Curry is Mr. Dumars # 0ne candidate.

It was always well known that Curry's leadership abilities is his stongest attributes even going back to the days when he was playing.

Expect this announcement to come sooner than later.

Curry is also the cheapest option in terms of $$, that must motivate Mr. D. Frankly, don't know how to assess him. Why is Laimbeer never mentioned?

Because he's way too emotional/susceptible to techs. There's a reason he hasn't even been hired as an assistant so far.

I am awaiting the next time Joe gets on the radio.

That should make for a lively conversation.

Re: Michael Curry Will Be The Next Pistons Coach

I say we go after Avery Johnson. Hopefully he would make us tough again.

I feel bad for Sheed. Every player has their problems. For Chauncey it's his speed and finishing inside, for Rip it's his turnovers and poor ball handling, for Tayshaun it's his inconsistancy on offense, for Dice it's his loss of athleticism, but for Sheed it's his anger. He is a great shooter, post player, passer, and especially a great defender. He just needs a coach who can keep him straight. It was not Dunleavy or Flip. The only one who has been able to do that so far is LB. I like Avery Johnson as a coach and I think Sheed would too.

Seriously - does anyone remember the 2006 Mavs? They were ridiculously good.

I would be very upset if we didn't seriously look at Avery Johnson.
