No quotes from anyone. I wouldn't read anything from this article. No substance at all.
My sentiments exactly.

Re: Flip will be back.

Until Joe comes out with an official soundbyte and says something I won't believe anything that McCosky says.

In fact I trust David Aldridge more.

The second most disappointing thing regarding the Pistons routine 3rd round game six exit is that Joe has been hiding on his ranch and has not come out to say anything publicly.....that I know of. At least tell me that you are dissapointed and pissed off from your own mouth and words ....

Hopefully today or before the finals starts, we will see a news conference with Joe saying something instead of us speculating Flip's employment. Nothing will change with Flipsophy unless all vets are let go and he is forced to play his youth or we get Labron or Kobe in some weird-I-got-pictures-so make the trade deal

I don't know if an executive of a very successful franchise that just made it to the conference finals several years in a row will come out and say that he is pissed off. Also, there's also a good rule not to say or do anything in haste when you are at the emotional high, especially the level of decisions that Joe has to make. I'm sure he's going to sleep on it for several days, think about it, talk to other Pistons executives and management, and after that if he sees a viable alternative he'll take his actions. I wouldn't expect anything happening quickly.

Dre, I doubt Joe is hiding. He has shown to be a quiet person and slow in his reacting. I think is a great trait i.e. think things out before reacting or commenting. I am sure he is disappointed and is trying to figure out what to do and when.

McCoskey is a shill, I don't really take his word for anything.

Re: Flip will be back.

All I am saying is say something because I have spent time reading over 600 posts on 15 different threads and four different websites from unofficial internet Piston GM's speculating on what to do next and I need to get some work done this week.

How long after the Mavs lost did Avery get his walking papers??

I'm really liking his Richardson/Okafor suggestion though. Sheed & ?
Tay. (even though he used to be my favorite player) He has become soft.

Keep this hush hush and announce Flips firing about 60 seconds before you bring his replacement out from behind the curtain.

I'm not discouraged at all by that article. Flip can still be toast.
When does the Shock season end????

That would be the right move.

A couple of things. There are different people that are running the teams - you have the eccentric Cuban vs. laid back Bill D. an Joe D. Also, Mavs lost in the 1st round two years in a row, Pistons are making the conference finals. Not sure Avery would've gotten fired if Mavs would've made it to the conference finals two years in a row after the NBA finals.
There are two possible outcomes here. One is as what I mentioned that Joe will take his time. He's always done that, he's never made any moves in a haste (other than Nazr signing). Or his hands are tied to a certain extent and the team will remain status quo. But in either case we'll have to wait.
