Honestly...3 times to the ECF is an accomplishment, not a failure. Saunders is a winning coach in Detroit and just like RC, it is not really fair. It means that we as Pistons fans are taking our successess for granted. You guys are about to find out what it means to be a mediocre team...maybe...hope not. I guess the more and more i read objective opinions about coaches vs players, Flip is being unfairly blamed for losses in the play offs. What will Avery johnson do. He seems like a good coach, but really he did a lot worse than Flip. Flip has been consistent, while Avery has gotten worse.

Sounds like a 2 p.m. presser. Will Joe announce a eplacement right away or will he let the speculation linger. Maybe he will wait and see if the fact that Fip is now available spurs some other teams to make changes.

Unless we go with a rookie coach we will be taking a coach that has not succeeded anyways so do we see who becomes available. Maybe Mike Brown becomes available and they pick up Flip?

like i said before, i thought he did a good job here and this was his best coaching year of the 3, but he had 3 chances to get back to the Finals and failed. time to move on.
