Even though a lot of people dislike the idea, it was a good try. We're picky and we value our guys a lot so we'll have more bad ideas than good.

Even though the case for moving Chauncey is good, moving Rip or Tay gives us a lot more options as to who we could bring in.

Re: realistic roster changes

Let me point out that isn't the deal I really want to do, but BYC BS is keeping me from doing what would work normally (after July 1st)

C$ to Portland

Outlaw, Frye, Jack, something

or

Outlaw and Aldridge

coming back.

I think I underestimate how much Chauncey is "worth".

I'm definitely onboard with getting Outlaw. Sorta yes to Jack. Adding him to the backfield could raise interesting possibilities after CB is gone. I'm so-so about Frye.

You mentioned Webster in a previous post...wasn't he diagnosed with a heart condition toward the end of the season?

Aldridge? I suggested him in the ridiculous trade thread. His acquisition would sorta bum-out Joe's publicly acknowledged high on Amir. I don't think it would happen unless Amir was part of the deal.

Not sure about Webster, there would need to be a subsequent trade 2 or 3 bigs going out and 1 coming back possibly 1 and a pick in next years draft. as we'll just have too many Bigs.

Portland have a glut of Centers. Would like to get one those studs preferaby Aldridge.

We could do a lot better than getting Channing Frye and Jacks for Billups and Prince. A combo of Aldridge/Jacks or Blake and Portland's First Rounder sounds better.

Aldridge isn't a center.

I agree, I'd like to see him in the Piston Red, White and Blue. Jack would be a nice pick-up also.

Re: realistic roster changes

If it's a vote for moving Chauncey. I agree. Perhaps #12 can get him to focus on driving a la lb4lb, but I would like to see him moved and if we can get Aldrige (I can't see anything but age that would work against us convincing them to take him), that would give us an additional big man for some much needed paint scoring and would allow Stuck to spend more time on the floor actually breaking down the opposing defense as opposed to us having our defense broken down.

Re: realistic roster changes

What about a trade with Portland. Prince & 2009 first round pick for Outlaw, Webster & 13th pick. Trade down and get Nathan Jawai & 2nd round pick. Then draft DeVon Hardin at 29th.

Billups/Stuckey
Rip/Afflalo
Outlaw/Webster
Max/Amir/Dice
Sheed/Jawai/Hardin/Samb

Re: realistic roster changes

I don't think that there is any way Portland parts with aldridge. The guy is a very steady contributer, who averaged like 17 and 8 last year and he's only 22. He is only going to improve and i see him as a future 20/10 guy.
he plays close to the basket and is very efficient. I could see them moving
Frye realisticly, thats why i mentioned him. When Frye saw playing time in April, he played well, several double doubles. But he does play too far away from the basket for a big man, but i think he could change, hes young.

I think trading tay for ron ron, or just signing artest if its possible is a good move. Artest doesnt get much money because of his psyche, so its not that much of a gamble. If he could get his mind right, Artest is a top 10-15 guy in the association.
