That's one good way to get out of being traded. By this time next season, he'll be looking for big bucks in a multi-year deal. And I was really hoping to say good-bye.

Re: Sheed's last season?

Umm, if Sheed's is giving out vibes that he might be shutting it down at the end of the next season, then I have to question his desire for next season... if someone out there is willing to give up some talent for him, then I say ship him out now and let them see if they can motivate him...he did what he had to do here....

I believe it actually. Anyone who's paid attention over the years knows what Sheed's opinion of the NBA is. Now with all this ref stuff coming out and the pile continuing to grow I think he's completely fed up with the bull%%%%.

I wouldn't doubt that he will retire. Doesn't make much of adifference though, most teams trading for him would consider him due to his expiring contract, anything else from him is a bonus.

I would tend to agree. You'd think he'd be motivated to get another contract, but if he's retiring what would be his motivation? Maybe he'd want to go out on top as a champ and will give it his all in his last season. Or maybe he'll just play it out and retire at the end. I don't know, but people have been known for leaving big money on the table even when they had something left to give.

Re: Sheed's last season?

If Stephen A. Smith knows this then I am quite sure Joe D. knows this as well.
