Re: Walter Sharpe is the 1st pick---DJW traded

Did we actually expect to get some big-time help with the 29th or 32nd pick?

At best all we can hope for is a "sleeper".

The big trade is yet to come.

PATIENCE!!!

Re: Walter Sharpe is the 1st pick---DJW traded

Piston Draft summary without naming names = F+

Did nothing to back up anybody, but could have taken all America and Detroit kid Chris Douglas Roberts at 29 and at 6'7, he could have backed up Tay. After all his skills as it relates to slashing and driving are probably better than Jarvis, Max, Amir, AA and Mejia. (Wherever he is)

But I guess by taking DJ white and then trading him to Seattle for two picks, Joe did not want to pay any first round draft contracts and now has three scrubs available to fly to Vegas and play with Stuckey, Afflolo and Samb. And that my fellow forumates is the only and last time you will see these 3 draft pics in a Piston uniform. We would have been better off trading for next years picks as we may need them then............

Wonder who was in the War room with Joe and Curry, Matt Millen?

Even the Lakers who had one pick #58, probably did better than the Pistons as the guy thetook, Joe Crawford will probably make the team.........

Re: Walter Sharpe is the 1st pick---DJW traded

Lets not jump the guns. Joe did a good thing if he didn't like anybody in the first round and couldn't move up. He doesn't have any guaranteed money for the player he doesn't think he wants on the team. Nothing wrong with that. Also, all we know is what we read in the media. Joe has a scouting team and they watch guys play and work out. They have a boatload more information on which to base their decisions.

Re: Walter Sharpe is the 1st pick---DJW traded

Maybe Melo won't seem like such a bad guy now with this guy on board.

Not paying a first rounder helps who, the fans of the team? Maybe instead of paying for the league pass next year, I can just burn the money.

Dumars goes on and on in his now trademark post ECF flameout about the lack of urgency with the team, but I don't really pick up any sense of urgency from him either.
