Do you guys really think there are any successful teams out there that give major minutes to rookies? Want some cheese with that whine?

Absolutely. Why would I want to hire a hotshot prospect in any field that refuses to even interview? The pre-draft team workouts are job interviews. I'm glad Joe stuck to his guns. The TEAM will be better for it.

I voted A, maybe I'm sightly biased because of the BYU connection, but I love the way Joe thinks. I'm excited to see these guys develop if they are good enough to make the roster.

I'm voting A this time. If Joe D tells me the sun is cold, then I'll be catching fire with a jacket on after I dive in.

FC Barcelona! Tel Aviv! Olympiacos! Deeeeetroit Pistons baby!!!

I wasn't talking strictly rookies, i said young players. Amir was a 3rd year player this year, and i am quite sure he would have contributed more than rickety ratliff. If you want a team that gives major minutes to young guys, look no further than the team who beat us this year, the celtics started a second year player, rondo.

I don't know guys. Seeing rookies sit or punked in G/T. Would make me do a double take.
Then guys with natural skills suppressed just to see if he's coachable.
You come into the league with a forte, but then they start experimenting with you and jake up your game.
Play to my strenghts please.

Pistons gave Stuckey major minutes. Maxiell, a third year player, played a major role. You can't incorporate 5 rookies in at once.

you are right, i just think they have made major mistakes in the development of amir. i think he should have been given more of a chance, and whatever he lacked, his energy etc. would have more than made up for whatever webber and ratliff were supposed to bring to the table.

Not THEY, Flip!!! And that's one reason why he's gone. Joe is not a micro-managing GM, last year was about as close to telling a coach who to play that you'll see Joe D.

Exactly. Joe wanted Amir getting meaningful playing time, and he promised Amir such. For some reason, Flip decided not to do it. Looks like Curry will be more cooperative in this regard, but we'll see for ourselves in not too distant future.

It is hard to play a guy when he fouls all the time. Amir needs to learn to stay out of foul trouble. You lose your coaches trust when you comit stupid fouls. Even with the foul trouble Amir still should have played more. There were games that we had pretty much in hand that Amir didn't even get to play. That definately is Flip's fault.
