The best case scenario is for Darko to man up and bring it. Can he do it? It seems as if the disappointment this year has worked its way into his practice effort. He's going to have to claw his way back. I hope the team is able to help him out with this.

Darko's biggest obstacles aren't on the court at all.

why Joe D doenst trade him?
Probably cuz he ain't got no trade value in the moment.
the reason joe doesn't trade darko is that it simply isn't darko's time yet. joe is still high on darko's abilities. trust me he has plenty of trade value. we just simply wouldn't be able to get a young big man in return.

flip stopped playing darko because of matchup situations and darko's lack of effort when not played during the first half of games. that's what i heard anyway i don't see the lack of effort people are talking about. he's just not offensively aggressive enough. his effort level is related to the fact that no matter how good or how hard he plays his role and his minutes will be the same. flip hasn't showed anyone on the bench yet that good play will be rewarded with more minutes. not darko, not delfino, not jmax.

darko's problem with playing time from my point of view is that he not only has to be better than the big 3 currently but he also has to be better than what they used to be. this is a very hard thing because they all used to be all stars. trust me besides dice's last game in utah he's been stinking this season up. darko should have got some minutes just based on mcdyess not doing well. that wasn't the case because dice was getting minutes based on his past not on present performance. ben is doing very average lately since he's been injured that should have threw dmc some minutes but nope didn't happen. i don't see it as a reflection on darko. i think it's a coaching thing.

Could we trade Darko to an "Atlanta" with our number one & two draft picks for next year (if we still have the picks), plus another bench player of their choice (not Delfino, Max, or Arroyo) for Atlanta's number one next year? It might be the top pick overall. So that way we essentially get our pick back.

I'd do it in a heartbeat. Darko & Dice might thrive over there. Atlanta needs to do something and it's still early. Plus Atlanta saw the best of Darko, lol.

Darko's Problem

The biggest problem Darko had was Darth yelling: Darko Sucks!!! the same time AK-47 blocked Rip. In the roar of the crowd, DMC heard: Darko Rocks! Then he got it in his head that he deserved more PT. He got 1 minute. That was a lot more than the game before.

While not the media manipulator that LB is, Flip is inconsistent in that way. Delfino plays hard in his minutes but is apparently frustrated. If the roles were reversed, I'm sure those words would have come from Mo.

The most troubling thing to me was seeing Darko's minutes dry up. He had a run of consistent (albeit short) minutes. He did have a string of DNP-CD's before too so maybe there is a pattern emerging. But hearing about lackluster practices, I am concerned. Bottomline is Darko HAS to bring more. Like it or not, this is the situation that he has to fight thru. I really would like to see him be able to guard Dirk, Memo and maybe Peja...these guys have the luxury of shooting over most of their defenders.

You're right. I was yelling "Noooooo...sit him back down".
Well, hopefully he thought I was a Jazz fan and was scared of him.

Come to think of it, he came in the last 8 seconds of the first half. Everything went downhill after that. DARKO lost the game for us!!!!! It's all his fault!

Here is Carmelo Anthony's last game:
Points: 42
Reb: 8
Ast: 4
Stl: 4
Blk: 2

And he only took 18 shots. Led his team in rebounds too.

Will Darko ever have a game like that? Even in the next 10 years?

Did he do that in 17 seconds?

to answer your question. no darko probably will not have that kind of game the pistons system isn't made for big stat games. the pistons are about winning.
