Re: The Real Walter Sharpe

Narcoleptics have messed up sleep-wake cycles. According to this page from the NIH,

Quote:
Narcolepsy is a chronic neurological disorder caused by the brain's inability to regulate sleep-wake cycles normally. At various times throughout the day, people with narcolepsy experience fleeting urges to sleep. If the urge becomes overwhelming, individuals will fall asleep for periods lasting from a few seconds to several minutes.
...

The cause of narcolepsy remains unknown. It is likely that narcolepsy involves multiple factors interacting to cause neurological dysfunction and sleep disturbances.
I think this makes Sharpe a napper. One article I read described it as the feeling you get when you have missed an entire night of sleep, and you start spontaneously drifting off even as you struggle to stay alert.

I'm starting to see a pattern...

Wallace x 2
Flip x 2
Walter x 2
Kwame x 2 (GPS ankle bracelet sold separately)

Only seen a couple of videos on his game. Very natural, very smooth.

The least of my concerns is his physical condition. It is easily manageable and no doubt science will unfold, if not a complete recovery aspect, then an aggressive counterpoint.

The worst direction for this young man is D-League. He needs personal training and set routines on weak points. This is a tough route for roadies. Nonetheless, it has to be done. The first month will present invisible barriers for playing time. He will have to spend 5 plus hours on the hardwood....everyday, regardless of physical location for the rest of the year. He will have to survive and most rookies will reel at this schedule. This is called aspects of character-building.

The main kicker is this: he must play at least 3-7 minutes at every home game. It is the only aspect that can carry him through the country of old men.

The secondary aspect is the fan base. Folks, the only excitement coming from the residual accomplishments of the current team makeup is the anticipation of some new possibilities. Barring the additions of someone like AI, your DNA has to be produced born whole from the womb. The modified transfer from JMax (off the bench) to Sharpe is now set in place. The Palace will demand and enthusiastically accept no less. People now need, more than ever: new possibilities.

Setting aside the above main-secondary approaches, is the aspect of the other. Undetermined future moves (or none at all) still have to address the vacuum of leadership on this team. This certainly begs-the-question: surface PR fluff does not equate toward actions that give 100 per cent of less quality... regardless of victory or defeat.

What this team needs is a teacher. Anyone in their twenties, in most likelihood, will not be a teacher. Even rarer will be the current clones of 6-8; 230; vertical leap of 42 inches; left-right hand dunk; and lack of shyness from 30 feet. Shoes, jerseys and Euros will become, hopefully, representative artifacts.

Ladies, and gentleman. For your viewing pleasure: please take a quick glance away from the vertical pinnacle's of the hardwood trees. As the eye moves downward, it rest upon the forest floor. Shaded from the sun's rays and moisture drops leap-frogged from the canopy above; is a little known species of plant life. We are about to embark on a journey from the stilts of bleachers down-under, to the field of medicinal cures. Meet an unlikely candidate, called Allen Iverson, who is about to ...

Re: The Real Walter Sharpe

Is anybody here really high on Sharpe? It just seems like we have so little data on him + he's a bit of a project/ turnaround story + we have so many young guys ahead of him who will probably get PT before him.

Really high? Nah. I'm not down on the guy by any means, but he's a clean slate to me; i knew nothing of this guy until we picked him.

Re: The Real Walter Sharpe

I guess what I'm getting at is that it seems like nobody here has much of an opinion on him. For our top draft pick, this is very unusual.
