With the extensive media coverage we have today, if Joe had even "talked" to anyone we'd know about it. There's no way to keep this type of thing a secret. If you contact someone's agent, the world will find out about it.

By the way, what ever happened to the talk of trying for Josh Smith? Did Joe decide not to go after him? I know he's restricted and probably worth more than the MLE but that talk kinda went out with a wimper.

I'm not so sure of that. With our type of coverage, its just as likely that nothing will come out until speculation hits critical mass and then an article will come out saying that the Pistons are wisely playing waiting game but Joe has fielded 'dozens' of calls. Then Sam Smith will break a rumor that we'll trade Billups and Prince for TMac which will be hotly denied all week long before the players swap zip codes.

I don't know if Posey would consider coming here after Lindsey Hunter put him on blast. Remember the whole KG and Sheed hugging incident and how Lindsey was making fun of Posey hugging players at the scoring table? He was a big joke to some of the Piston players.

To be honest, that kinda freaks me out too, but i guess he's just intense (starved for affection) ? . . . Who cares. He's a winner. I have no idea if he took it negatively, but i don't think LH really called him out just used it for comparative purposes.
