I think he made around 3 million last year. He's looking for around 5.8-6 million for 4-5 years.

Posey will likely stay put in BeanTown.
Maggette will likely end up in SA or w/ the Warriors (more $$).
If anything I think it's likely Joe will get James Jones or Pietrus.

If past history is any indicator of the future, the starting five are untouchable in terms of competing for playing time and w/ such a strong negative it will be hard to sell any good FA on the virtues of a being a Piston. If the phrase "there is no sacred cow" is true then no one should be guaranteed a starting job based on past peformance.

We will get James Jones as he is not explosive, is coming off an injury and has not once played well when I've watched him.
