Boston offers Maggette full MLE. WOW!!! Boston is not playing around. If they get Maggette Boston is going to be down right scarry next season. I don't know what Joe D. is waiting around for.

Why couldn't we offer him the same? If he turns it down and goes somewhere else then atleast we tried.

Would he even come to D-town? Boston can give him more playing time than Pistons. Boston has the stars, and Boston just won the championship. Also, Boston is a fun to place to live. They would have definite advantage.

I'm sick of Boston signing all of these stars. Who do they think they are...the Red Wings???

Maggette can get to the line, he averaged 9.7 attempts last year to Poseys 1.6 and as far as I am concerned that speaks volumes to the kind of respect he has from refs.

Dont give me that crap about Posey making Boston a better team. Every team has mismatches and Boston used theirs to beat the Lakers. If Bynum had been healthy Boston could not and would not have won.

Maggette is screwed. With the money BDavis and Brand are going to get the Clips don't have anything for him. And since most teams don't have cap space this year (everybody is preparing for '09 and '10 FA classes), the most he'll get from anyone is the MLE.

So Maggette will sign the MLE for whatever team he likes the best, Boston, Detroit, SA, who knows. Supposedly Detroit is making an offer, but I don't see him going here or Boston simply because neither team can offer him a starting position. OTOH, if we're shopping Tay, Maggette might be happy to sign a short term MLE, long enough to get the bird rights, knowing Detroit will resign him for more.

Weird year in the NBA. A lot of scrubs will get overpaid, everyone jumping to give Posey the MLE, money thrown at Brand and BDavis; yet Maggette stuck in limbo.

I think the playing time in Boston and Detroit would be equal. Pual Pierce is going to play near 40 mins a game. Who are you concerned about not getting playing time Affallo or Lindsey? To be honest Lindsey should not be resigned. He needs to ride off in the sun set. It would disgust me if Lindsey stayed at the expense of signing someone that could put us over the top or worse letting someone like Affallo go that works hard on the defensive end that one day could be as good as Lindsey.
