I can't wait until they bring in someone worse to replace him.

Re: Bye-bye Arvis

Well...

Jarvis did have a career year shooting the ball this season - FG% of 0.431 & 3% of 0.376 during the regular season. In FG% that beats Stuckey, Affalo, Herrman, and Hunter by a substantial margin, and ties Sheed. He was fourth best on the beat in shooting from three, better than Sheed and Prince.

In the playoffs two point shooting failed him. His total FG% is worst on the team except for Herrmann, including a smashing 20% in the conference semis, pulled up some by 50% in the conference finals. Three point playoff shooting however was second best on the team behind Billups.

Yeah, he's not the cat's meow, but frankly, Flip's offense never had a real role for the small forward other than to fade to the corner and shoot bailout threes as the clock ran down.

Re: Bye-bye Arvis

He was a foul machine, or at least it seemed like that.

Off to check fouls per minute....

Re: Bye-bye Arvis

If he really had a good year, then he would probably get more than $1M per year in the free market.

There is something about his play that makes him about as valuable as Afflalo.

Keep in mind that Afflalo was valuable even when he played limited seconds. Not true for Jarvis.

Agreed. Defense is less streaky.

Also, Afflalo's contract may be artificially low.

Re: Bye-bye Arvis

He's a streaky shooter, but then again how many volume shooters are there in the league.
