Flip has gone but his ghost has surely influence here...

Seriously talking, seems like in Amir's case flip was right.

You must have missed all his good game throughout the year. I could send you DVD's if you'd like

Yup, that one summer league game definitely proved it.

Re: Vegas anyone????

Samb looks noticably bigger in the upper body and arms.

His main problem is that he doesn't read game yet: he tries to react to every pump fake, every movement and rebounding, well he just tries to jump over everybody, instead of boxing out. In rebounding and defending pick and roll Plaisted was better, at least in this game.

Actually, I did, since I'm not in the Michigan area and don't have League Pass. But I just meant that if someone like Juan Dixon or Lindsey Hunter committed that many fouls on such a regular basis, there would have been public executions on PF.com. I don't doubt the kid has talent. But if he hasn't learned how not to foul after this long, there is a problem. We can't attribute it to "ticky-tack calls" or "needing to get used to the NBA game" forever without running the risk of being disingenuous.

Re: Vegas anyone????

There is a reason they give you 10 fouls in 40 minutes games in the LVSL. Those refs are hung over after long nights of gambling and their judgment is shot.

He's definitely hyperactive and needs to slow down. I think that will come w/ consistent minutes (at least it did when he got them last year). Hopefully, this will be the year we finally see if he has "it" or not . . . then we can finally find something new to argue about

Re: Vegas anyone????

After watching that whole game, I'm most impressed with Samb's transformation. I'm guessing that he is 250+. He wasn't getting pushed around, his shot looked good, he looked OK in the post, and he even dunked in heavy traffic. He should at least be in the running for 2nd string center this year.

Stuckey was obviously awesome, but that was to be expected.

I couldn't tell that much about Sharpe other than he seemed to blend in well and was willing to pass. I didn't notice any ball handling opportunities for him, and wanted to check out his comfort with the ball.
