Well then, don't get caught into it. Coaches are paid to win...now. They are not mentors in the hope of development. You have European and D-League for that.

Seventy-five per cent of your salary is snagged up into your starting five. Your big guy is all over the court and plays the system on how he feels that night. Your slasher (who must make everyone honest) can't play facing the basket without his rump leading first. Your point guard looks into the vacuum, called the paint, and says, "who is giving me movement?'...ah yes, there is Rip." And he says to himself, "no Rip, no movement and the wings are floating on clouds 20 ft. from center and my, here comes the trap at 30 feet."

Watch Curry: he will sweat and lights will gleam brighter off his bare head, when he still has those starting five and remembers Flips predicament.

JD's role is to move the organization forward. Everyone is caught up in the big jump of aged freedom riders. One injury or misplaced events shake the uneven house of cards. JD's current comfort zone level is to say, "I have a least 50 wins doing nothing." OK, that's good enough for me...really, it is.

Pushing market values, in a place like Detroit, is a street smart never-land of knowing the neighborhood. Salvage material is everywhere. Being a generalist is OK, but not necessarily highly rewarded. To stay deeply in-tuned, is a tactic turning over. I am glad JD got his education and the dinner club will surely give its winking approval. If a personal goal has been achieved...then good for you and move on.

I still await the big trade.

I was thinking on the other side of the spectrum with Flip laughing his arse off as Curry tries to motivate the "best starting 5" in the league - Welcome to my world.

One thing Curry will have going for him is a half way decent bench. Not a pile of rookies and a scarsely played 3rd year guy. Now we have a couple of 2nd year players and a scarsely played 4th year guy.

In either case it is quit an upgrade over practically no bench at all which Flip had for the 1st 2 years.

Maybe Curry realizes this and is making an emphasis on getting the bench up to speed now to combat what he sees as a distinct possibility that he might have to put the starters in theirr place later.

Flip has an enviable position...He'll be drawing his millions and contemplating coaching offers, while Curry deals with the primadonnas...
Curry will need the Zoo Crew this season as the starters have an unusually high amount of injuries. Curry will push them to it.

Re: A MUST Read...The Zoo Crew Unleashed

I'm gonna go the other way and think this team will respond to Mr. Curry. I still think we need a trade. You still have to go thru the honey moon period where all the things the team didn't like about flip are changed. Maybe next year if this team is intact it could go south. But just like how things were great when flip got here, its going to be like that.

Fair enough…here goes: Your first and major direction points are associations contained within the whole paragraph. Please do not associate these links as logical progressions, but rather as associations that tumble in and out of a linking order from one to the other.
Key words:
· Market values ( sophisticated knowledge- urban centers now decentralized by the Net)
· Street smart (my take off code)
· Salvage material (human-all-to-human)
· Generalist (in a world of highly refined, specialist knowledge)
· THAT SENTENCE
· Education (reproduction of the system)
· Dinner Club (recognition you are a part of)
· Winking approval (you now have obligations acquired by acceptance)
· Personal goal (apart from satisfying the system and rewarding other mental constructs)
· Move on (confidence achieved and ready for the next leap)

This all started with my take off code. Now, instead of “street smart”, substitute “tacit” knowledge.

A personal note: my teacher was Robert M. MacIver, and his good friend was a man named, Michael Polanyi. The latter wrote two huge, influential books:
· Personal Knowledge, Towards a Post-Critical Philosophy: A chemist and philosopher attempts to bridge the gap between fact and value, science and humanity.
· The Great Transformation: the political and economic origins of our time.

Back to the code. For general information, which makes for a beginning base, go here:
· http://www.emeraldinsight.com/Insight/viewContentItem.do;jsessionid=DB7BEB4DF052DA16858F FD7E5CDAA446?contentType=Article&contentId=1718915

All this, so to speak, is a coat of armor for JD has turned outside-in. We all know his formal presentation style and these physical projections hide a great deal of his internal talent. Continue success, which he has had over the last few years, measures itself differently in formal associations of class. One entry point of acceptance comes from the direction of education...hence, my reference.

When dealing with decision-making time frames, there is a definite mix of the tacit vs. explicit begging for results in a contrived order. The uncomfortable part is this time lag and the gut-wrenching tensions we continue to experience. There is no running from it, because it is in the making of the whole. Talent is combination of these two components and this constant turning- over leads to discovery. This is the meaning of that sentence.
