The beef I have with the "We need a trade" crowd is that everybody seems a little jaded. Big, athletic, back to the basket, above avg rebounding, good character.......I didn't know Dwight Howard, Al Jefferson and Tim Duncan were available. A trade is needed, this group really has a Complaceny Cancer within it that needs Chemo (sp?) But the trade is oing to involve gambling and giving up a SURE thing (Sheed/Tay/Billups) for the unsure, young SF, Stuckey at PG, etc We're going to have to let go of our security blanket folks.
BINGO!!!!

Seconded. No trading just to trade.

On second thot...maybe we should just wait another year and watch Curry work his rookie coaching magic on this bunch of grizzled veterans

These guys had a plan to play it their way when Flip got hired...think it'll be any different under Curry? Somebody(s) gotta go...

It's an honor to be seconded by you, LP. LOL

Unless Joe pulls something amazing out of his rear end (which he's done before), I just think we need to find out what we have before deciding to give it up. What if Curry's style gets more out of a player than we would be getting back if we traded them before the season? Things like that happen every season.

STOP BEING SCARED!!!! Right NOW!!! MAN UP!!!! Stop the WHAT IF's!!!! That's an order SOLDIER!!!!! I'm down for a S&T with Memphis that sends Sheed & the rights to Rufus Henry to the Grizz for Darko, a pack of Rainbow Skittles, and a $500 gas card.

I don't think its reasonable that we need to get equal/exceeding talent in return. Talent =/= (not necessarily) value. Its not rational to believe that we're gonna swipe another team's pockets right in front of them.

Re: Think we should still make a big trade?

Boy what a Friday. I learned that Joe is going to do a S&T with Atl that swaps Tay for Smith. I also learned that he'll swap Sheed and Billups for T-Mac and a throw in. I also learned that we may have a shot of stealing Andris from the GSW for the MLE....WOW!!!! WHAT-A-DAY!!!!!! So all in all here's our team at the end of all this, assuming Hou's throw in is Alston.

PG: Stuckey / Alston
SG: Rip / AA
SF: T-Mac / Smith / Rip / AA
PF: J.Smith / Maxiel / AJ / Dyess
C: Bierdrins / Dyess / AJ / Samb

That's a HELLUVA LINEUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Full of youth, athleticism and good shot blocking defenders. If Joe can make ALL that happen we may as well call it the "Joe Dumars Palace of Auburn Hills".
