| Re: Who to Blame? I blame 2004 title team: they set level so high so everything below finals have been unsatisfactory. W/o title we would be very satisfied with 6 ECF appearances... Last edited by raxrets : 08-06-2008 at 04:11 PM. |

| Re: Who to Blame? The crowd noise is down compared to the championship year. But that is to be expected. When you make it to 6 straight ECF, then people just don't get as pumped up until you reach that point. Its the Atlanta Braves syndrome. Also, people won't get as loud because there is no one to hate. When the playoffs consisted of hated rivals New Jersey (with Kidd, Jefferson, and Scalabrine), Indiana (with Artest, O'Neal, and Miller), and LA (with Shaq, Kobe, Mailman, and the Glove), people get excited. More hate equals more noise. This year, the noise didn't get going until we made it to Boston. We hate those guys, and the games mean more. I was at the Boston-Detroit Game 4 this year, and that place was rocking. But it is definitely better than the crowd noise during the Teal Years (crickets). |
