That's pretty cool, even though I don't get into that superstar stuff.

No but they do. As does the the whole climate that drives the lack of objectivity within this country.

The last thing any of us should do is to take these things lightly. It's all about herd instinct.

Think this doesn't push the elevated ones? They are there for a reason.

Had AI stayed in Denver, would there ever had been any such cover, anywhere about AI? Come the end of the season, deals might be worked out. If JD can close this hole and have something left over with some smart signings, then he can breech an open hole that says "no desire and no leadership."

JD has to pitch AI and Stuckey. The rest will follow.

Ainge knew this and the rest did followed.

Kinda related to this post. I didn't want to start a new one and this sorta fits here. During the debate of AI vs. Rip off the bench, people kept mentioning how "Worldwide Wes" wouldn't allow it (AI coming off the bench). I vaguely knew he was, but i wasn't really familiar. I started reading some stuff on him, and came across a few good articles about him (with stuff ppl probably already know).

He represents Iverson, but he's also involved with something called "The Family" which is a Detroit basketball team that's sponsered by Rip. And supposedly Rip (along with AI) is one of his "closest" friends. His go to agent is also the agent of both Rip and AI. Point being wouldn't he have a problem with either one of them getting benched?

Or is AI the more lucrative client so it doesn't matter? Doesn't he risk making Rip mad if he advocates one over the other? Or is he that good that he can maniplulate this into some way that it works out in his favor while keeping everyone happy? Or does that not even matter b/c Joe knows not to go there? And if that's the case then technically wouldn't he be interfering with the coaches decisions? Or is Micheal Curry aware of the so called "rules"?

I'm just trying to figure out how this ends up working and how big of a role he plays in it.

edited to add;
I also read something that talked about how familar he is to LB and Joe D so maybe that answers part of my questions. This guys sounds like a complete snake (the ingratiating himself in with kid's in high school, etc) Price of doing business i guess on some of these ppl's parts i guess.

Re: Allen Iverson is on the SLAM cover

First, this is all conjecture on my part. I don't have any special knowledge on the subject.

I would tend to believe so. AI is also a FA.

As long as everyone gets paid, everyone is happy.

He's more powerful than David Stern IMHO

Everyone knows Wes. I've never heard someone inside the NBA be critical of him. Ever.
