AUBURN HILLS -- Richard Hamilton was told that the groin injury that kept him out of eight games might linger.
Turns out, those folks were right.
Hamilton said the injury has bothered him for the past few games, but the pain became more intense early on in Detroit's 98-89 win at Minnesota on Wednesday.
A decision on whether he will play won't be made until shortly before tip-off.
"Mentally, I'm going in saying that I don't want to miss that game," said Hamilton, who did not practice on Thursday. "It's tough. We did a lot of treatment today. Hopefully it will feel better tomorrow."

May explain why he sat in crunch time last night. Save him for Sundays Cavs game

I saw him grimacing the entire game.

An excuse to avoid saying we are not in Boston's league. So if they smash us Joe D. can say with a straight face that we didn't have RIP and we are still competitive with our full team on the floor. Yada... Yada ...YA If this was a playoff game he would play no doubt about it.

Sounds like that groin is nagging again.

It won't feel right 'til next season. I had one that bothered me for over a year but I didn't really know how to treat it. I put some banana peels on it but I didn't know you had to freeze them first.

I'm such an idiot! I did the same thing and made it worse when I slipped on one of the peels.

I noticed that too a few times. Better to sit now and get it straight then injure further. Again a case would you rather win in the regular season or the play offs?
