Iverson fined

"Pistons guard Allen Iverson must pay $260,000 for standing idly by and watching his bodyguard beat up another man in a 2005 bar fight"

And what would he be fined for if he tried to break it up? As you know, I am in no way an Iverson fan but he loses either way. If he got involved even if in support of his body guard, he would have been raked over the coals in the media. That's what a body guard is for. So you don't have to be the one getting involved. This is ridiculous.

With that said, if these guys would stay clear of bars, it would be a whole lot easier to keep your nose clean.

It doesn't pay to be a rich athlete. That's why you should stay out of those type of places so that your pockets don't end up lighter.

Re: Iverson fined

1. Iverson needs a bodyguard.
2. Iverson must use good judgement in hiring a bodyguard.
3. Bodyguard must do his job, if necessary...Including issuing beatdowns.
4. Iverson must not get involved. His bodyguard is trained to make determinations.
5. Iverson must be held accountable for his bodyguards actions (*see #2)
6. Sounds like AI made good decisions (Had bodyguard, stayed out of it)

That's probably 12 rubber bands AI is out on top of the $$ if you figure it takes 2 rubber bands per 50K pimp rolls he apparently carries around.

2005?? Why wait and fine him 4 years later? Stupid thats all I can say. And you have a point that he loses either way. Becuz of his problems in the past, he is going to get in trouble becuz every1 sees him as a thug. All celebs need to stay away from clubs/bars, becuz it's too many haters walking around that's mad at them becuz they have money and fame.

It is not a "fine," but rather a jury verdict for damages in a 2007 trial. The plaintiff claims to have suffered a perforated eardrum and other injuries. Iverson appealed the jury verdict and the court of appeals has just affirmed.

Re: Iverson fined

whatever For me AI is a punk gangster wannabee... We dont need him on a pistons uniform.. Boo HIM.. he cant even make his teammates better, besides hes old and there were things that he may no longer do when he was still on his 20's.. So for me I would rather wait after this BS season and get rid of AI..
