I'm not characterizing Rip like that either. I think people would be more apt to say Sheed played hard if he scored 20 ppg and was a turnstile on D.

What I am also saying though is that DET could have won more titles if some of these warriors said this is my man and I got him no help needed like Sheed does. It isn't the most glamourous work.

Re: Are Sheed and Rip sitting out?

I have the feeling they will sit out til the weekend and then start playing. That is what they are doing in Boston with KG. He is getting 8 minutes a half and working his way back.

Our guys haven't been out as long so hopefully (if this is the plan) they can come back with less regular season games to play and be back up to speed quicker.

Re: Are Sheed and Rip sitting out?

I really don't think there is anything fishy going on. They're just hurt. Rip, Sheed and AI are all over 30 now. Sheed has been overplayed and counted on to do to much this season considering his age. Rip had the groin injury and those can linger. Same with AI and the back. Back injuries are tricky like that. Granted I'm not a professional athlete, but I hurt my back playing sports and it took a couple months for it to get right again.

Considering the circumstances and their age I really doubt that there is a conspiracy theory here.

If I had to be I would say Rip & Sheed will hit 38-40 minutes their first games back.

I ain't buying it.

Are these guys tanking down the stretch or resting up for the playoffs?

Because I don't buy that Rip, and Sheed and AI are all out and they are all hurt. Some, maybe. All of them probably banged up so far.

But 8 games for a calf strain? Do I look this stupid?

Sorry roscoe,
but when I predicted a 43-39 record for the season, I also predicted unusually high injuries for the Kander led Pistons. Just part of the plan...
