in Korea they don't have traditional sports. starcraft is like the national sport, and the best players not only make tons of money, they're treated like hollywood celebrities are treated in america.

in the US, there is 'professional gaming' to some degree, but very few can make a living off of it, and even then they're not making much. to see an example of what i mean visit GotFrag eSports - Competitive Gaming News, Features, Movies, Content and Community - that's a site i work for (and check out the part i made w/statistics @ GotFrag eSports - GameSense 2 Beta - Home)

not to hijack the thread...just giving a sidenote to webz :O

Wow congrats Mo. But you just made the bullseye on your back even bigger. Someone who is good enough to be 1 phone call away from the premier league should have no problem with our lowly Trial League.

I don't win all of the time, just most of the time. ..and trust me, I'm just as worried about the competition here as I am in the Premier League. There are so many factors that go into winning a fantasy bball league. That said, you should still be prepared to get a whippin'. I am determined to be PF.com champ.

Everyone is excited now. That will change a couple of weeks in when everyone realizes how far behind ME they are.

Re: NBA.Com Premier Championship

Okay here is an update.

We are entering the final two rounds of the email draft that has lasted almost two weeks. To call this an exercise in patience would be an understatement. Essentially each team, which can be anywhere in the world was given 10 hours to make a draft pick. Noticing that little progress was being made, a little over a week ago they changed the time to 5 hours. So far I think I've done pretty well.

Here are my picks:

ROUND PICK PLAYER POS
1 5 Dirk Nowitzki PF
2 8 Michael Redd GF
3 5 Carmelo Anthony SF
4 8 Antawn Jamison F
5 5 Mike James PG
6 8 T.J. Ford PG
7 5 Chris Wilcox FC
8 8 Zach Randolph PF
9 5 Wally Szczerbiak GF
10 8 David West PF
11 5 Damon Stoudamire PG
12 8 Eddy Curry C

I'm hoping to finish off with Steve Francis and perhaps Kendrick Perkins if he is stilll available.

A fellow Perkins fan? Darth Tater gets down on my boy and favors Dampier but that KP fella got me some nice numbers for a 12th or 13th round pick.

Absolutely. His rebounds and blocked shots are nothing to snooze at! I had him on my team last year as well.

Re: NBA.Com Premier Championship

Tied for first place and playing the other division leader this week. I'm currently up 6-2. If I win this league, I am automatically invited into the big league next year where I can actually make some money.

If only my PF.com leagues worked out this well. Currently, I am in five leagues. I am in first place in all of them with the exception of the two PF.com leagues. Kudos to you fellas for playing at such a high level!
