Yes, #12 Scarlett Sharpie will be tracking the always elusive statistical category of Hotness. If the chips are down and the Kimmee Lights need an "energy" guy off the bench, I might need to throw a little eye candy into the roster.

Linwood this STILL means you cannot draft team dancers and change the categories to Bodyrolls, HipShakes, and Hottie%.

And Darth, just because you wanted those Spare Tire guys instead, doesn't make you any more right!

Re: Novice League Banter 07-08

I'm woman enough to admit that I'm nervous about the draft in less than two hours now. I mean it seems like it was just yesterday when I did my first live draft for novice. What a nightmare. I had all these index cards lined up and color coded for position. Then my guys were snapped up so fast the index cards were fluttering to the floor in all their well thought out glory. Then I noticed on the main middle screen that somehow Pau Gasol was sitting there unpicked. How did he go untaken? So I took him in the seventh round or something. LOL. Slippy and Darth msn me with "What? That guy has a broken foot. He's out until the end of the season."

Ah the memories. Good Luck to all on draft day! I'm doing something a little different this year. Destined to end me up in the lower end of the standings. It's pretty revolutionary for fantasy basketball really.

I'm only drafting guys I like, guys I watch their games every chance I get, and guys I will follow throughout the season. Last year I spent more time in front of the computer than actually watching the ball games. Darth calls this approach "playing like a girl" but hell, I AM a girl!!!

Good Luck. God I hope that timer counting down doesn't unnerve me.

This is the strategy I used the last two years. I end up with Ben Wallace, Tyson Chandler, Tayshaun Prince and Ron Artest. In real life, no one could score on my team!

It hasn't worked out as well in the Winning department, but I do enjoy watching those guys play.

Last year I didn't do any draft research at all. I came in 10 out of 12 teams.

This year I just read a very interesting article about Bison Dele.

I also looked over the roster for the Sacramento Kings. Not sure if this will really help at all.

I;ve been reading mikhail's season previews and playing Live 08 in simulation mode. If you look on NBA.com...Live 08 is a viable alternative to the NBA.

I'm using my usual draft strategy. I don't study at all...then when my turn to choose comes around I simply...

pm Slippy in a panic and go

"Slippy...HELP ME...I'm LOST!!!"

Then I argue with him over what he says.

Then I am sorry the times when I blow off his advice.
