| Re: Orlando Feb 19 7:30PM Ugly game. Starters were hot early, but our bench got beat up by theirs. The Magic got in a good rhythm, and the Pistons couldn't match that or their energy. All those 3 balls were killer. Too many wide open looks. Jack Nies didn't really help, but the Pistons let the calls that weren't in their favor get in their heads. Never a good thing. This was a team loss if there ever was one. They just got cold for too long a stretch, and Orlando was hot. But there were some positives. Sheed looked good before the foul trouble, Rip and Tay as well, at least initially. Chauncey apparently has a tweaked ankle from the ASG ( ), but he too was good at first. Dice looked VERY good on the rebounding end. Stuckey - Not the best game for him. But he did have some good drives and dishes. Amir - Blocked some shots in his first 2 minutes, got a couple dunks at the end. His most non-descript game in a while. Max - Very good for a while, looking much more like himself. But Orlando's jumpshooting bigs are difficult, even for him. Afflalo - Not there for him offensively. The D was fine, but he didn't play all that well on the other end. The offense got stagnant in the second, and it stayed that way. The 10 game win streak comes to an end in embarrassing fashion, but the Stones can't wallow in it, since they'll be facing a Bucks team looking for some payback tomorrow. |

| Re: Orlando Feb 19 7:30PM I didn't watch it either (looks like i should be happy about that). But Flip was cursing a mile a minute in his post-game. He said %%%%, and various forums of the word. I think he's missing his Mo Evans, and probably upset he had such a good game. ![]() |

Here are the key meaning less stats of the game. The obvious of course is the descrepancy in the three ball where the Pistons were outscored 39-6 as the magic hit 13-20 from beyond the arc to the Pistons anemic 2-14. The magic lead the league in 3's and the Pistons left them wide open as if they didn't know that stat. Next the Pistons who pride themselves on ball movement ignored that practice after the first quarter. After logging 10 assists in the first qtr, they responded with 4 in the second, ZERO in the third and then three late dimes >all by Stuckey in the final seven minutes the game. They went almost 18 minutes with out an assist and scored only 27 points during that drought. Last> both benches scored 37 points??? Well most of ours were scored in garbage time when the game was already decided. Credit their bench, specifically Bogens and Dooling for winning this one for them in the second qtr along perrennial bench man Mo Evans who has gained enough respect by Ron Jeremy to start. Burn the tape and lets start a new streak before heading out west.
