Is it better to give up 2 or 3 points?

Re: At Utah Feb. 27th, 9:00 PM

We just got Sheeded.

Now we know how those other teams feel.

Quote:
"He's a good shooter," said Billups of Okur. "Even though he's a good shooter those shots are at best 40-something percent as opposed to a layup which is a 60-percent shot. You live with it, you don't like it but you live with it. We didn't just give him the shot, it was contested and we made rotations. He just hit tough shots."
? eFG% needs to be explained to him.

Does that means that somebody was being doubleteamed? Max should have been on the well rested Boozer..or even Amir "Flip doesn't trust me in crunch situations yet" Johnson??

Nah, not Amir.

I was clear that Flip was "holding his Johnson" last night.

Doubleteam? No, that would imply someone was being covered. Sheed had to help Billups by showing on the screen which is how Okur got open. To me, it would help if CB tried to fight through the screen instead of running into it and stopping.

No worries. We're on the same page or close to it.

Even if it is a dumb excuse; I deserve to hear something.
That is one possible reason.

Some others are

1) He was treating it as a playoff game and was using his slimmed down rotation.

2) Amir made a slight mistake in his last game that is only significant to Flip.

3) Since we are close to signing Dale Davis, Flip is planning on benching Amir anyway and is going to give DD all his mins. ( I hope this is not the case )

4) Flip just plain forgot to put him in.

Any other coach and #4 would be a joke but it remains a possibility with his guy.

Actually #4 is what I expected to hear in the postgame.

Beatwriter: "Flip; why didn't Amir Johnson get in the game today?"
Flip: "I was so into winning the game I completely forgot that Amir has the ability to help us win. I forgot to put him in. But he is really progressing nicely for us"
