Why not leave him in? The worse than can happen is that he picks up the foul on the rebound of the free throws and is out anyway. Best case maybe he plays it out. By substituting you just throw off any rhythm he might have and bring a guy in who knows he's only going to get about a minute to play.

I have a simplistic observation. In big games when the Pistons punch the other team in the nose in the first quarter, they win
. When they get punched, they lose.

How about this - when Lindsey plays in big games they win. When he doesn't - they lose.

That observation is true for the last 2 games, but I don't think it holds up much after that.

Actually pretty much the opposite was true in the two Boston games so far. The Pistons took advantage of KG's foul trouble to pile on a big lead in the first quarter at the Palace, but still lost that game. And though I didn't see the first half of the game at the Garden, I remember Boston being ahead at halftime, but the Pistons came back to win.

I only saw bits and pieces of this one. Looked like the Pistons played pretty good team D. Sheed was great, just great. Barkley made an interesting comment at halftime, talking about how Sheed could be the best player in the NBA if he had the "killer instinct" of a Larry Bird or Magic Johnson. All the other tools are there. Barkley kept saying that Sheed can post up and shoot the three. "No other 7-footers can do that in our league."

Bargnani could do it if he played Pistons 82 games a year.
