Re: Joey Harrington talent evaluation Poll

Dang Warts you don't think Joel can do anything well. I don't like his throwing motion. It's not smooth and on deep throws, 30 to 40 yd max, he seems locked on for too long. Safteys will eat that up. With some coaching I think he can improve that. I would say he reads D at the "C+" level?

Re: Joey Harrington talent evaluation Poll

I think it all comes down to the system and the coaches.

We don't know if Joey is the real deal.

Anybody remember when Garcia came in, mid-season, and Mariucci said that he could "run the complete" offense with Garcia in there? WTF?! Harrington had been coached by him for how long? And Mooch couldn't pass on the knowledge? And Garcia certainly ripped it up with his "complete understanding" didn't he?

So, Mooch was holding back with Joey? He deserved to get the axe.

I say, give Joey, and the rest of the "overrated" offense one more year, under a system that utilizes their skills, before we throw in the towel on any of them.

With Joey and the 3 recivers, we have 4 first round picks on offense. We SHOULD be able to get something out of them. They needed discipline. Mooch gave them enough rope to hang themselves with.

Re: Joey Harrington talent evaluation Poll

Sounds like the truth Star. I loved Garcias heart. But the talent was gone. JH scored 21 points on the road against the Steelers, looks like a new beginning.
