Sports] Detroit Lions sign rookie LB Sims (AP) Ernie Sims, the Detroit Lions' first-round draft pick, has signed a five-year deal with the team. The linebacker from Florida State, who was taken with the ninth overall choice, missed the first two days of camp. He was to be on the field Sunday morning. The 6-foot, 221-pound Sims finished his collegiate career with 200 tackles, seven sacks for 61 yards and 21 tackles for loss.    |
