[Yahoo! Sports] Saban defends Culpepper's start (AP)

Nick Saban is no fan of statistics. The Miami coach knows Daunte Culpepper's 18-of-37, 262-yard, two-interception debut in a 28-17 loss to Pittsburgh last Thursday wasn't ideal. The same goes for Ronnie Brown's 30 yards on 15 carries, although Brown did have two short touchdown runs. But Saban thinks those numbers shouldn't be construed as a sign of serious problems going into Sunday's AFC East...
